CAVOUR - Computer Aided VOting URn
Home
CAVOUR (Computer Aided VOting URn) aims to be a completely web-driven tool for the definition, set-up, accomplishment, and results display of medium-sized elections and referenda. It uses PHP, MySQL, Javascript, SSL to manage the whole process, from the definition and loading of the electoral base (as well as the creation of electoral certificates), to the setup of candidates and referenda questions (election/poll type, candidates programs, vote openings/closings), the deployment of primary and ballots, the voting act itself (secure logging, identity verification, failsafe choice of candidate and/or answer), up to the automated vote count and display of the final results. The name CAVOUR comes from Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, the first PM of the unified Italy of 1850s.
The project has just started, thus you can't complain if no files are yet available :-)
IMPORTANT: I need help in developping this system! Thus, if you are a little skilled in HTML, PHP & MySQL, and have time to spend (very very few) for programming, please do not hesitate to contact me. Use directly the sourceforge forum, list or trackers.
